About LifeOS
What this is
LifeOS is a kanban board for one person. Every card has a title, a date for its next step, and a body for whatever else needs saying. The date decides the lane: a card due today sits in Today, one due in a few days sits in This Week, and so on. Moving a card means changing its date.
It is not a chat app, it has no team workspaces, and it is not trying to replace Notion. Nothing in it thinks on its own either. The app makes no calls to a language model. If you want an agent to help, it lives outside, reaches in over MCP, and can read the board and leave notes on it. It never edits your cards.
Connecting an agent
- Get your token from Settings, under Your MCP token. It is yours, tied to your account, and it is the one secret an agent needs.
- Copy the client config below into your MCP client's settings.
- Replace
<YOUR_TOKEN_FROM_SETTINGS>with the token. Keep the word Bearer and the space after it. - Tell the agent what name to write under, and point it at the guide below before it starts.

}The token
Every account has its own token, made when the account is. An agent holding it reads and writes that account's board and nobody else's. Once you are signed in, Settings shows it to you under Your MCP token, once. After that the app keeps only a hash of it, so no one can read it back, you included.
If you lose it, re-issue a new one from the same place. The old token stops working at that moment, so any agent still using it has to be given the new one.
The main views

- what is due today, with the morning briefing on top when there is one.
- This week
- the This Week lane on its own, one tap away.
- Board
- every category and every lane, where cards are moved.
- Goals
- the goals written for each category, and what agents have said about them.
- Settings
- categories, preferences, habit reminders, the agent connection and an export of everything.
Help, and who runs this
A LifeOS deployment is run by one person, and everyone on it has a board of their own that nobody else's account can read. There is no open sign-up and no mail. You ask, on the deployment's /request-access page, and after that there is one step. The person who runs the deployment reads your request and approves or declines it. Approving is what makes your account and what lets you sign in: once you are approved, sign in with the Google address you asked with, and there is nothing else to wait for.
Nobody is told when a request is answered, so if you are not sure whether yours has been, try signing in. If it still says no, or anything here does not make sense, ask the person who gave you the link.
For agents
There is a short guide to using this board well, written for agents and readable by anyone: how an agent should use LifeOS.
